Homemade hair conditioner

After using your regular shampoo and rinsing as usual, you can use this great homemade, totally vegan, organic conditioner to make your shiny and healthy. First you need:

1 c. water
juice from 1/2 lemon
and 2 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
massage into hair and scalp
rinse w/cold water after a few min.

The lemon cleanses your hair, and the vinegar balances your hairs natural ph balance.

Baking soda exfoliator and natural blackhead remover

I've always had horrible black heads mainly one my nose and nothing helped it. And my mom has large pores. Well this is a miracle worker! All you need to do is:

Mix 1 tbsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. of water

Now massage into skin and focus on problem areas for a few min. and rinse. Do this everyday and after one week you should see great results. If you try this tell me what your results are. GOOD LUCK!

VEGAN OATMEAL RAISIN COOKIES

You will need:

  • 1.5 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup applesauce
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup raw sugar
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1.25 teaspoons baking powder
  • dash salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • dash nutmeg
  • 3/4 cup oatmeal
  • 2 tablespoons raisins


Preheat oven to 350°F

Oil baking sheet

Blend bananas, applesauce, vanilla and raw sugar until creamy

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg

Add the blended wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix well

Stir in the oatmeal and raisins.

Drop by spoonfuls onto baking sheet. Bake for 20-30 minutes or until just golden brown

THE BEST HOMEMADE PITA BREAD EVER

You will need:
  • 1 c. warm water
  • 2 tsp. yeast
  • 1 tbsp. raw sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tbsp. walnut oil
  • 2 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
Preheat oven to approx. 400 F

mix 1 c. warm water with 2 tsp. yeast and 1 tbsp. raw sugar

let sit for 5 min till bubbly

add 1 tsp. salt

2 tbsp. oil of your choice { I used walnut oil}

2 1/2 c. whole wheat flour

knead till soft and elastic

cut into 8 equal parts

roll out each into circle

let sit for 5 min.

bake a few at a time for approx 5 min. or until completely puffed up



And when you pull them out, do not squish them down, let them cool and they should keep their perfect lil pockets.

p.s. for a healthier pita, substitute 1/2 c. flour for ground flaxseed.
