What to do with those old brown fruits...

Using last weeks brown fruits, you can make the best at home hair conditioner!
  • Just mash up one banana and half an avacado.
  • Let sit for about 15 min. or so. (and don't think the longer the better, cause it loses its potency after 15 min. really).
  • Rinse.
  • And now you should have shiny, hydrated hair.
The smell does go away quickly so don't worry about that, and DON'T shampoo immediately, or you would have just reversed everything you just did. This could really save you money so your not throwing away food, and healthy hair is so much easier to manage, and not to mention just look fabulous.

The easiest, simple, best tasting pizza dough ever!

Pizza Dough Recipe
Ingredients:

1 pkg. yeast
3 cups whole wheat flour
1/3 cups lukewarm water
1 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup lukewarm water

Directions:

Dissolve yeast in 1/3 cup lukewarm water and let stand 10 minutes. In a bowl, mix flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture, blend, then add 2/3 cup lukewarm water to make a pliable, elastic dough. Form into a ball, cover with a clean cloth, and let rise until doubled in a warm place (about 20-30 minutes).

Variations: Add 4 tsp basil for a more flavorful crust. Kneed in 4 Tbsp. margarine for a more pastry-like crust. Vary these quantities according to your taste.

Roll out dough onto pizza stone or a flat pan; leave a lip around the edge. (Variation: Top with olive oil.) Spread sauce, add toppings of your choice. Bake at 450 degrees F for about 20 minutes, until crisp.

At home, all natural, non-damaging subtle highlights

For blonde highlights:

Do this on a sunny day. If your hair is dishwater blonde or a lighter shade of brown, you can create blonde highlights by treating your hair with lemon juice. Either bottled juice or fresh will work. Wash your hair with your favorite shampoo. Then pour about 1/2 cup of bottled juice or the juice of one or two lemons over your hair. Comb it through to distribute well.

Apply sunblock generously to your skin and go outside. After an hour of sunbathing or puttering in the garden with your hair exposed to the sun, shampoo again and apply conditioner.

Lemon accelerates the effect of sunbleaching. While it doesn’t seem to cause damage, it brightens your hair and leaves you with subtle blond highlights.

For red highlights:

Mix cider vinegar or wine vinegar about 50-50 with water. After shampooing and rinsing well, pour the vinegar over your hair and massage it through the hair. Rinse well and follow with a good conditioner.

Vinegar effectively removes all detergent residue from clean hair. It also brings out the reddish highlights in auburn and brown hair.

Avoid getting either lemon juice or vinegar in your eyes! Lemon juice works best on hair that’s already on the light side; vinegar accentuates reddish highlights in darker hair.
